Victor Lusambo

Exploration Manager - Zambia

Victor Lusambo is an Exploration Geologist and certified Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) with more than 18 years of regional mineral exploration experience. As Exploration Manager – Zambia at Atomic Eagle Limited, he oversees technical studies, drilling programmes, and resource development for the Mutanga Uranium Project.

He holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Zambia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Radiation Protection. He is a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) and the Geological Society of Zambia (GSZ).

His career includes leadership positions at Denison Mines Zambia, Zambezi Resources, and Equinox Minerals at Lumwana Mines, now operated by Barrick Gold. He has presented research at national and international forums, including ZIMEC 2018 and the IAEA, where he delivered a paper on the Mutanga Uranium Project.

Victor brings expertise in geochemical evaluation, radiation safety, GIS, and resource modelling. He is committed to advancing Zambia’s mining sector through research-led innovation, operational excellence, and mentorship.
