Sustainability and ESG
Building a Safe, Sustainable and Accountable Future
Atomic Eagle is committed to developing the Muntanga Project with care for the environment, respect for people, and accountability in everything we do.
Our approach to sustainability is practical and risk-focused – aiming to deliver value for shareholders and long-term benefits for host communities while managing potential impacts with transparency and discipline.
Environmental Management
The Company takes a precautionary approach to environmental performance.
The Muntanga Project is being advanced in accordance with Zambian regulatory requirements and international good practice.
Our environmental objectives are clear:
- Minimise disturbance to land, water and biodiversity;
- Design efficient, low-impact operations
- Rehabilitate disturbed areas progressively; and
- Monitor performance to ensure continuous improvement.
Through effective risk management, we aim to protect local ecosystems and contribute positively to the clean energy transition.
Social Performance
We recognise that our success depends on strong relationships with our neighbours.
Atomic Eagle maintains an active presence in Zambia’s Siavonga and Chirundu districts, supporting education, health and livelihood programs developed in partnership with local communities and authorities.
Our priorities include:
- Supporting schools, adult literacy and vocational training;
- Improving access to clean water and healthcare; and
- Promoting sustainable agriculture and local enterprise.
By focusing on shared value and open dialogue, we build trust and ensure community voices are central to how we operate.
Governance and Risk Management
Sound governance is fundamental to Atomic Eagle’s strategy.
We apply to the ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations (4th Edition) and maintain systems that ensure integrity, accountability and effective risk oversight.
Our governance framework includes:
- A Board with strong technical, financial and operational expertise;
- Policies addressing ethics, anti-corruption, diversity and health and safety;
- Structured identification and management of environmental, operational and social risks; and
- Transparent reporting to shareholders and regulators.
This disciplined approach to governance underpins all our decisions — from exploration to development — ensuring risks are identified early, managed responsibly, and disclosed clearly.
